I love how at this time of day, Uluru, a giant rock in the middle of Australia, does not look real. It really does have a spiritual feeling to it.

To me natural wonders are more amazing than man made ones.

I'm sort of torn, I agree with you lots of the time.....but there are some man made things that are just so amazing, and the fact we created them is also amazing

That's true. Come to think of it I'd love to see the Statue of Liberty, The Pyramids of Giza and maybe Stone Henge.

You know, this makes me think of a wonderfully mysterious and spooky feeling Australian film called "Picnic at Hanging Rock". It takes place in the 1900's. A large group of boarding school students are taken to enjoy a day out at Hanging Rock. Three of the girls in the group wander off and vanish without a single trace. It's a slow moving (read graceful) movie that left chills down my spine. I just thought I'd mention it considering that your image immediately transported me to the lovely, yet unforgiving landscape found in the film.

The work is beautiful, I love how you have it layered, with the plants in the foreground, the subject in the background, followed by the sky. It creates very pleasing horizontal lines. The soft, desaturation, in the foreground is really nice against the striking background colors. My eyes literally were delighted overall. The shadows captured on the rock formation itself is great for illuminating contour.

Any way, I just recently added this to our featured section at UN-Global, but I thought I'd share my comments, considering I wasn't the one who accepted your image, and had I, these would have been my comments. Thank you for submitting to us, and good luck with all your photographs.
